Baseball

I've kept score at baseball games since I was a kid, when my team was the Minneapolis Millers (AAA), playing at Nicollet Field. Since late 1987, I've used 25-game scorebooks; I'm on book #5 as of 2024. This page lists 116 games, from some earlier single game scorecards and from those scorebooks. I think it is a complete list of all major league games I've attended since 1981, though I may have a few more scorecards from Wrigley and old Comiskey buried in my garage.

I moved to the Bay Area in 1968, but I didn't pay much attention to either the Giants or the As during the next two decades. I attended many Red Sox games at the Coliseum, more in support of the Red Sox (Yaz!) than the As. I became a Giants convert in the Humm Baby era (Will Clark et al.), but I also attended many As games with my father-in-law and brother-in-law. My love for the Giants grew during the Bonds era and was cemented by the 2010/2012/2014 World Series runs. After decades of indifference, my wife Bari is now a huge Giants fan too.
