This page gives links to my Hindustani classical music pages. Some pages list my personal collections (books/LPs/CDs/DVDs), others are reference lists (ragas/talas etc.).
My love affair with Indian classical music began way back in my student days in the 1960s. In the 1970s I heard a lot of Hindustani music live and bought many LPs, including exotic EMI/Odeon imports from India. Since then I've assembled a library of several hundred CDs. I've ripped a few of the LPs and most of the CDs, and thanks to the magic of our digital age now I usually play music from iTunes on a computer while the LPs and CDs gather dust. I've also downloaded digital copies of some LPs from the wealth of material posted on the internet.
