hosts.equiv -- System Maintenance

Name equivalent hosts
/etc/hosts.equiv

File  /etc/hosts.equiv names  every host  on your  network whose  users are
equivalent those on your system.

For  example,   if  system  mwc  names  system  lepanto   in  its  copy  of
/etc/hosts.equiv, then  mwc assumes that  user fred on lepanto  is the same
person as user fred on mwc.
