Location: 1 Jones Street (corner Jones/McAllister/Market).
Hibernia Bank (founded 1859) built a Beaux-Art headquarters building at Jones/McAllister/Market in 1892. The building survived the 1906 earthquake with significant damage but reopened a month later. An addition just north of the bank was added in 1908 (Hibernia Office Building in the Newman postcard below). Today (in 2025) the landmarked building is called The Hibernia, providing leased office space and event space.
