MLP_PRIORITY -- Environmental Variable

Set default priority for print spooling

When the command  lp spools a job for printing,  it reads the environmental
variable  MLP_PRIORITY  to  find what  priority  it  is  to  give the  job.
MLP_PRIORITY must  a numeral, from  0 to 9:  0 assigns highest  priority, 9
lowest.  The default priority is 2.
