- Newman correctly captions the image as showing the ruins of the Santa Rosa courthouse and City Hall.
- Newman, O. (addressed but not mailed) shows the same image, but the caption incorrectly gives San Francisco as the location. The postcard writer notes "built at a cost of seven million dollars", which refers to San Francisco's City Hall, not to the Santa Rosa City Hall shown.
- Weidner 226, postmarked S.F. 11/19/1906, is a later color card showing the same ruins.
