The original photo is © 1887 by I.W. Taber, but Taber is not credited on these cards. Left: Goeggel & Weidner 35, Goeggel & Weidner credit, AutoChrom logo, no 'California' top right, undivided back, postmarked SF 12/04/1903. Some Goeggel & Weidner cards indicate "Copyright Goeggel & Weidner, Publishers" (e.g., Goeggel & Weidner 1), but this just credits "Goeggel & Weidner, Publishers", presumably because of the Taber copyright. The other cards above credit "Charles Weidner, Photographer", even though Weidner was not the photographer of this image. Next: Weidner 35, stock number typo '85' for '35', Weidner credit front left, AutoChrom logo, undivided back, caption "... in Holy of Holies..." rather than "... in the Holy of Holies...". Next: Weidner 35, Weidner credit front left, no AutoChrom logo, post-quake caption added, undivided back; postmarked SF 12/21/1908. Right: Weidner 35, credit moved to back, post-quake caption, divided back.

Weidner Catalog shows one additional Weidner 35 variant: Weidner credit as 'Publisher' not 'Photographer', AutoChrom logo, no 'California', undivided back.

Mitchell 159, postmarked SF 6/02/1903, uses the same Taber image but with very different coloring.
