Michele's Sweet Potato Casserole

with delicious memories of many
tasty Thanksgivings in Eureka.
Mash:
- 3 cups sweet potato
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 cup milk
Crumble:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup butter
- Pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Peel sweet potatoes, boil until soft, cool.
- Mash sweet potatoes with sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk.
- Grease casserole and fill with mashed sweet potato.
- Mix crumble and spread evenly on top of casserole.
- Decorate top with half pecans.

Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Finish under broiler for a couple minutes to melt crumble;
watch carefully, remove when top starts to smoke.
