Define machine-specific parameters
#include <sys/param.h>

param.h defines  machine-specific parameters.  These  parameters set limits
on the operation of the COHERENT system; e.g., the number of files that can
be open at any one time.

This header file is obsolete, and  will be dropped from a future release of
COHERENT.  Its use is strongly discouraged.
