ex -- Command

Berkeley-style line editor
ex [ options ] [ +cmd ] [ file1 ... file27 ]

ex is a  link to elvis, which is a clone  of the UNIX vi/ex set of editors.
Invoking  elvis through  this link  forces it to  operate solely  in colon-
command mode, just as the UNIX ex editor operates.
