EDITOR -- Environmental Variable

Name editor to use by default
EDITOR=editor

The environmental variable EDITOR names the default editor that you wish to
use.  For example, mail invokes editor  when you conclude a mail message by
typing  a  question  mark `?'  at  the  beginning  of  a line  followed  by
<return>.  The  screen pager more  invokes editor when  you enter the
command v while displaying a file.
