Location: Market/Post/Montgomery.
The 11-story flatiron Crocker Building at Market/Post/Kearny was built in 1891, designed by Arthur Page Brown. An earlier H.S. Crocker Building was on the south side of Bush between Montgomery/Sansome (first image below, also at far left here). The Crocker Building was damaged by the 1906 earthquake but rebuilt. It was demolished in 1968 to create the Montgomery BART/Muni station. Across Post from the Crocker Building, 1 Montgomery (NW corner Post/Montgomery) was also known as the Crocker National Bank Building; its history is complex.
