(c) Resuming after four week layoff due to Ira's bad back.
(d) String day: Ira broke string during warmup, then played with my Head TXE.
    I played first set with Tad, broke string at start of second and played
    remainder of second set with Kramer.
    Tad restrung 2/21/91, $28 nylon @ Lombardi's.
(e) Extremely windy.  June seemed exceptionally windy this year.
(f) New Wilson grip tape.
(g) After half hour lessons from pro Tom Schaerges, 1-707-279-4281, X-363.
    Mark: extremely steady, fast, deceptive.
    Herb: similar to me but less steady.
    Lee 424-0500: game well tuned to mine, I had trouble with angled 1st serve;
    he approaches much more than I do, good volleys, kept me chasing wide balls.
(h) New shoes: Asics GT Intensity size 10, $70 at Herman's.
    Old shoes lasted nearly a year, were not worn through yet.
    New shoes have much better padding, more grip (as old ones did initially).
(i) Head TXE restrung 9/6/91, Victor VS gut @ 62#, $39 at Okabe Sports.
    Old strings had been fraying for some time, but were still intact.
    Also new grip, Gamma Grip $8.  Overgrip was worn out after about 3 months.
    New strings feel slightly more powerful, new grip is wonderful.
(j) Ira broke string, finished with my Tad.
(k) Ira playing with loaner.
(l) Ira: new nylon strings, more control, less power.
(m) Light sprinkles at start of play, wet court, played with Tad.  Interesting
    change, more control on many shots, less power, serve very different.
    Could easily have dropped both sets.
