Berlin trip with Gossmanns.

I traveled with the Gossmanns to Berlin in early 1964 to visit grandparents
(Ursula's father Bernard Hermel and his wife) in Berlin/Zehlendorf.
These photos suggest how amazing Berlin was: beautiful lakes and parks,
the Wall, American soldiers with machine guns...

A German Wikipedia page shows the bridges over the Teltowkanal,
useful for identifying the pictures below.
The canal was a short walk from the house of the Gossman grandparents
in Berlin Zehlendorf.
The canal formed the southern border of West Berlin in Schönow,
with Brandenburg (then part of East Germany, not East Berlin) on the other side.

(Bonn's push for "Lebensraum" in the east can only cost head and collar).
