J. Albert Hagstrom

J. Albert Hagstrom (1872-1901) was the first husband of my grandmother Nellie Malmsten. The 1870 census record below (two years before J. Albert's birth) lists his parents and his brother G. Arvid in Red Wing MN. The 1900 census record lists J. Albert and Nellie, with his parents and two younger brothers living next door. The 1905 MN record (after J. Albert's death) lists his parents and brothers. Thirty years later, G. Arvid Hagstrom performed the marriage of my parents Eleanor and Norman Ness in 1935.

  According to Eleanor Ness, G. Arvid presided at the marriage of ERN/PNN;
  he was associated with ERN's church First Swedish Baptist (later Bethlehem Baptist).
  According to J. Albert biography, G. Arvid b. 1867 in Sweden was in Chicago 1896-1906.
  He was subsequently the president of Bethel College, referenced in online Bethel histories.]
