Shiuan Chang (b. 1989 in Taiwan) is the co-director and conductor of the New York Based Hai-Dao Ensemble. Shiuan's music has been performed at venues including Suntory Hall, Jordan Hall, Merkin Hall, and Bartok Hall, and at festivals including Tenso Music Days in Belgium, Boston Early Music Festival, Mise-En Festival, June in Buffalo, Serga Festival in Spain, Composit Festival in Italy, and the Bartok festival in Hungary. He has studied with Lee Hyla, Stefano Gervasoni, Marco Stroppa, Phillippe Leroux, and Péter Eötvös. He has worked with Ensemble Musicatreize, Divertimento Ensemble, signal ensemble, Antico Moderno, Neue Vocalisten Stuttgart, and Alter Ego.

As a pianist, Shiuan has won several piano competitions in Taiwan, and he has been an active contemporary music conductor since 2014. He continues to direct Hai-Dao Ensemble for its fruitful second season.
