EARPLAY 2005 Donald Aird Memorial COMPOSERS COMPETITION EARPLAY announces the fifth annual Earplay Composers Competition. Composers of any age or nationality may submit works for one to six performers, of any duration, selected from the following instruments: Flute (Piccolo/Alto) Clarinet (Bass Clarinet) Piano Violin Viola Cello Works with electronics will also be considered. A prize of $500 will be awarded to the winning work, which will be performed during the 2003/2004 season. The winner will be announced in May. The judges reserve the right to not award a prize if no composition is deemed prize-worthy. All entries may be considered for performance. There is an entry fee of $25 for one score, or $20 per score if more than one is submitted. Please make check or money order payable to Earplay. The postmark deadline is Wednesday, April 14, 2004.
