Message: San Francisco - Mar 26 '52 My Dearest - Well, one of my life's ambitions has finally been realized. I have now been to S.F. and seen the Pacific Ocean. How I wish you were here. The day has been perfect - hot for S.F. and beautifully clear the natives say. I stopped by the Nimitz abode in Berkeley this A.M. for breakfast. It was rather fitting to have my first look at the Golden Gate and the distant Pacific from the window of the buy who owned the Pacific on Sept 2 '45. I made my San F. appearance at a small luncheon today and it seemed to go ok. Nothing until tomorrow night except a press conference at 10. Your ver nice letter awaited me. I hope my ltrs. have been reaching you. Enclosures are of interest. More tomorrow - All my love Sam
